"Nqingqo" is the sound made by a ringing bell so by ringing the bell Umdumo are drawing the attention of every peace loving human being who has ears for good music to hear and listen to their angelic voices.

The chance to go into the studio and also record with one of World Music’s celebrated recording engineer Mr Ben Findlay availed itself towards the end of Umdumo Wesizwe`s debut tour of Europe in 2007, but then instead of a “proper studio” we found ourselves at St Andrew’s Church, in the hidden village of Mells deep in the countryside of Somerset in England with just one microphone. The end product is this album “Qo”, recorded, mixed and mastered over a record 3 hours. This CD is a result of excellent lyrics, constant practise, belief, several hours of rehearsals and a midas recording touch. We are glad to have travelled this journey. Qo we are knocking.

“Qo” is Umdumo Wesizwe`s second album after the debut “Ngqinqo”. Qo is short for the title track Qoqomela, it is a unique click sound found in the Southern African languages of Xhosa, Zulu and Ndebele.
